Couples looking for a cozy treat
Had a fantastic stay, very welcoming atmosphere from Lois, served up a hearty full English that was just,, what we needed to start the day! The room was exceptionally clean and warm, felt like home away from home.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain,, but worth every penny for the experience we had.

The stay was fantastic as a base to explore Hadrian's Wall and other nearby attractions. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean, and I loved having the option to order breakfast the night before, which turned out to be delicious with plenty of choices. Lois and David were incredibly accommodating, even suggesting great places to dine, which truly enhanced the experience. I appreciated the fresh milk in the room for my tea, it’s those little details that make a big difference.

Couples seeking comfort
What a welcome from Lois arrived to a big smile and a tray of tea with chocolate biscuits in our room the breakfast was lovely with fresh coffee and a plentiful choice of cereal. We had our eggs and soldiers with a side of yummy bacon and fresh fruit salad no tinned produce just fresh stuff.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive but certainly worth it.

The room was spotless and had comfortable amenities, including a kettle for tea and cold bottled water in the fridge. Breakfast choices were impressive, featuring local ingredients and beautifully cooked dishes that left no one hungry.
Some minor annoyances included creaky floorboards from upstairs guests that made night times a bit disruptive, and limited dining options in the vicinity meant planning was a must for evening meals. the lack of certain bathroom fixtures like a socket near mirrors was a drawback for convenience during morning routines.

The stay at Shaftoe's B&B was delightful. Immaculate cleanliness stood out everywhere, from the room to the communal areas. Lois and David made me feel at home right away with a lovely welcome, including tea and biscuits. The Double Room with Private Bathroom was spacious and had charming details like USB sockets and little extras for comfort. I appreciated the tailored breakfast selection. I opted for the full English, which was cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients. The location made exploring Hadrian's Wall easy, with beautiful village views all around. On the downside, the creaky floorboards from upstairs guests were noticeable at night, which slightly disrupted sleep. having a socket near the mirror would have been helpful for using the hairdryer.
